Trailer release: "Paint"
At long last the first trailer for “Paint” starring Owen Wilson is out.
I’ve been waiting for this to be out in the world for so long that I was starting to feel like the movie wasn’t even real despite working on it for over 2 years.
Initially I delivered the soundtrack to this film in November of 2021 and then went to Las Vegas for a little Thanksgiving solo vacation. When I returned, the producer called me and told me they were re-cutting the entire movie. I basically re-music supervised the film over the first half of 2022 and we changed about half of the music from the first version.
Ultimately what we came away with on the 2nd try is indeed tighter funnier and groovier than ever but it was quite a journey to get there. “Paint” is directed (and written) by Brit McAdams and opens nation-wide on April 7th.
If you like very weird comedies then do yourself a favor and see this in the theater!
